It is the largest historic building in Maruggio. Unfortunately, however, it is kept in poor condition, it should be completely restored and properly enhanced. Along the walls of the building there are several coats of arms that tell the story of the village, ruled by the Knights of Malta for many centuries. The largest is the triptych of the Grand Master of the Order in Piazza del Popolo, a true symbol of the country.
