A castle with high historic value but allegedly closed due to disputes of the owners with municipality, as I understood during an excellent exhibition of medieval weapons in the church San Giovanni Battista close to the castle. A good impression of the castle structure can be gained nevertheless when walking through Parco Montalbano.

The municipality of Oria was a positive discovery for me. Not only for the lively nightlife and the quality of the clubs, but above all for its noteworthy historic center. A pity that the main monuments that characterize it, including renovations and bureaucratic / political problems, are visible only from the outside and cannot be visited. Other pearls of our land left to the mercy of time and wear, without being able to live and "breathe" their history and atmosphere. Such a pity.

Nice and well-kept place that offers a beautiful view over the surrounding valley. Together with the Montalbano park, cloister of a monastery, it represents an interesting tourist attraction.

Very charming historic center. Small town pleasant in the evening. Ideal for a stay as a base by leaving every day to discover new places. In Puglia the Italians are charming.
