Amazing Palazzo in the historical centre of Oria

Beautiful building, home to a museum of the Messapian civilization, full of interesting archaeological finds of the area, which reconstruct its history. Very well set up exhibition department, with a model that reconstructs the territory in the very distant past. Many finds, votive offerings, craters, terracotta doll fibulae and pottery from the rock sanctuary of Demeter and Persephone. Chicca, a fossilized wheat tarallino "tritticum aestivum". Staging, informative captions and exceptional reconstructions. To visit. The historian Marcello, a very passionate scholar and member of the cultural association of Oria 57024, very engaging and source of information of great depth.

Beautiful building ... but above all it is the seat of the archaeological museum. Very interesting and well-kept museum, free admission. A surprise.
