We spent close to a full day here as part of our road trip around Umbria and Tuscany focusing on the hill towns and what a vacation it was! What a wonderful time we had in this very immense Museum that cover so many areas of interest from the birth of modern society through Ancient Rome, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Beautiful paintings, sculptures, works of art, weapons, coats of armor, awesome coins, and many artifacts of historical importance. There are multiple floors to view items, with clean public restrooms. If in the area you should plan at least a minimum half day’s experience.

Very pretty building with some nice artwork to see. Nothing spectacular included, but very peaceful and a nice place to see when you have time to slow down. Don't come here first if you only have a couple hours in the city but if you're hear multiple days it's definitely worth seeing

Great Place with great exhibitions

A large and diverse collection, unfortunately often poorly lit.

The museum appears to have been assembled at random and in haste. In many rooms the lights are not suitable (so much so that some pieces are not even visible), semi-empty corridors and then the curiosity room (if I remember the name well) with all the objects crammed and a guide to share with other visitors. catalog (therefore not only uncomfortable, but also not very hygienic). The descriptions are partly badly arranged and partly ruined by time. In general, it seems to enter a discount museum where the products are put together in a completely anonymous context. I'm sorry, but having visited many other museums, you can see the difference.
