The Höfeweg on the sunny side of the valley is a very nicely laid out hiking trail. It is best to hike out of the valley from St. Gertraud and have a wonderful view of the beautiful mountains of the valley down to Merano. There are good places to stop for a break on the way to rest. A really nice trail that is worth walking. Recommendable.

Found the way totally boring. Who is not good on foot, okay or with a stroller. Walk back only through a forest area always shadows. No retreat option. Would not recommend the way.

An 18 km long circular walk to St. Gertraud and back with a few hundred meters difference in altitude. With beautiful old and new farms, the 2000 year old Urlärchen, a resort, where Freud guest was. Total 5 h 30 min approx. Best May-October. Those who find it too strict can interrupt at any time and return by public transport.
