Porta di Piazza is the main entrance to the ancient town of Noli. It relates to the 12th-13th centuries and was built with the second city wall. It is recognizable by the fact that it is surmounted by the same of the city and decorated with a fresco representing the Assumption, repainted during the 1920s. In the second half of the sixteenth century, a "ravelin" was built, that is a defensive bulwark, removed in the nineteenth century.
