It could certainly be valued more, but it still contains the characteristics of a time gone by. Past and present history are intertwined in the lives of the lost and that still lodge us and are reflected in those that are lucky enough to pass into it. Excellent is the glance of when crossing it you arrive in the historic center. Beautiful village perched on the hill overlooking Lake Varano. With a privileged view on the heights of the Gargano promontory.
One of the oldest buildings in the country, located inside the u cavut, or the historic center. When you reach Cagnano it is not immediately clear that passing a small arch you enter the historical part, a labyrinthine agglomeration of white houses, very suggestive and fascinating. Not all the structures are in good condition, while some have been recently refurbished with respect to the previous architecture. In the cavut there is always fresh breeze coming from the valleys, the streets wind up strategically precisely to allow functional air circulation. Very special, to see!
