A very suggestive place of worship. Few people but inner peace. It is not the usual place of money and wealth but a place where the people who run it do it with passion. Highly recommended. For the history of the place I recommend asking the caretaker who is very helpful.

The cave of San Michele is a natural cavity located on a hill not far from Lake Varano in the municipality of Cagnano Varano. It is a cavity of karst origin Behind the main altar, there is a calcareous basin full of water produced by the continuous dripping from the ceiling of the cave. This water is believed to be miraculous for sight.

I arrived in time for mass ... the church created in this cave is very suggestive and the atmosphere created by the priests and the faithful is very deep

Superb place of worship dedicated to San Michele. Peace and silence reign for a unique experience, really worth a visit. Highly recommended
