Statue of Christ the Redeemer

Beautiful place to view the coast below and mountains behind. Limited parking directly at the top, but additional parking a bit further down just a few mins walk away. Impressive even just to arrive by car along the winding roads up the mountain. Come at sunset for the best views. Bar and souvenir shop at the top too.

It's a tall stone statue of Buddy Christ dancing to the Village People. Spectacular and highly recommended.

Comparing the one in Rio de Janeiro and this one I think I have to say, Maratea 1 Rio 0, the panorama is just amazing, another point is, in Rio so many people on the top and there is not space even to take a single picture!
