Beautiful place and great excursion! Highly recommend!

Wonderful discovery on the spot, we did not know its existence until that morning. So right choice to see something special in the area besides the beaches. We were delighted! The cave is small of about 60 square meters but full of real wonders and details. All natural, no alteration by man apart from the stairs and the path inserted to allow it to be visited. 800,000 years is the native origin of this cave. It is worth a visit, moderate price and the guide was very kind, professional and at the same time very nice, especially in explaining the history of the cave

For those who love to discover the wonders that our nature continually gives us this is the right place .. because the cave of wonders has the name .. but finally seeing it live I have ascertained that it is also in fact ... Just passed at the entrance you have the opportunity to admire all the masterpieces created naturally by the limestone of the rock .. going down you will discover other natural sculptures that take the most beautiful and most imaginative shapes .. including a nativity scene .. turtles .. monuments and known paintings. For anyone who has a passion for traveling and loves to know and discover natural beauties .. I suggest you stop by .. it can be easily reached on the coastal road that connects Maratea-Sapri and the guide is really kind, helpful and professional.

Experience not to be missed. small limestone cave but beautiful. The guide was very good at explaining in detail the history of the cave and the peculiarities of each corner. Cost of admission including very honest driving (5 euros per person) for a duration of about 30 minutes. In the reviews there are those who complain about the price being a natural cave but unlike many others it is very well preserved (if it were free and unguarded it would certainly be vandalized, considering also the fact that the limestone rocks must not be touched, since the process of forming stalagmites and other structures would be interrupted). The guide was also very helpful in recommending other places in the area to visit by giving very useful maps.

Gorgeous. She is nature. Who was able to create this enchanting place. She always amazes. If you pass by Maratea you absolutely must visit the cave. It is possible to reserve. Admission € 5 per person, € 3 reduced, the visit is guided. Nice and helpful staff.
