Famedio Cimitero Monumentale

We have never felt so real to be in a horror story. We were not so keen on to go a cemetery for touristic reasons but after searching, our curiosity was heavier than all. If you would like to feel all shiver in your body we highly recommend to go when the sun goes down. We were there at 17:00 and the sun was not so efficient. As you can see in the picture, the place is fascinating yet scary though. The statues are like a piece of artwork. Sadly after 45 mins walk, we begin to feel the fear much more than normal so we did not enter the places between chapels. The entrance is free and it is open between 08:00–18:00. However please be quiet in the cemetery just to respect the people who lost their loved ones...

Located at the entrance of the monumental cemetery of Milan, the Famedio collects the mortal remains of illustrious Milanese. In particular here the bones of Manzoni and Carlo Cattaneo rest.
