Comune di Abetone

Someone, one day, will have to explain to me how a country like Abetone can be a tourist. It is clear that those who frequent this place have never been to the Dolomites, in any town in any valley. I spent three days at Abetone, and the only things I liked were the paths in the woods and the B&B where I stayed; for the rest, I can only speak ill of it. The village winds along the main road, with non-existent sidewalks because they are occupied by parked cars and without the slightest presence of a policeman (never seen a patrol during the days spent in the village); sidewalks which, in many points, are dangerous for pedestrians due to the presence of multiple holes and differences in height that cannot allow safe passage. The municipality then, in its majestic cunning, has well thought of leaving traders the possibility of displaying various advertising signs by occupying precisely that (small) space reserved for pedestrians and the various restaurants to be able to place chairs and tables so that pedestrians are forced to deviate on the carriageway due to the impossibility of continuing on the spaces dedicated to them. Last pearl, the stretch of pedestrian road that leads from the SS12 to the Abetone-Selletta chairlift which, if possible, is worse than the sidewalks. Fortunately (mine, but especially theirs) I was not hurt, but the path is a disaster. Attached, the photos of the disgust described above.

Excellent organization on the slopes. Artificial snow, professionalism, competence, sun, all nice to spend an unforgettable day in the mountains. Thanks Abetone.

Parking spaces for people with disabilities that are not sufficient and it is impossible for a person in a wheelchair to visit the shops, as the sidewalk is blocked by tables and chairs from a well-known bar. A shame for a place that is considered to be disabled.
