Well worth a visit for history/archaeology enthusiasts - hire car recommended, but not far out of the city. Deserves an hour visit. Check opening times carefully. Nice site with Via Flaminia road paving remains. Interesting to piece together the different building phases from triumphal arch to medieval fortified manor. Good collection of inscriptions, ceramics, architectural fragments, some from other sites. Possibly - but not definitely - a Constantinian dedication associated with the Milvian Bridge and the Christianisation of the empire. Deserves to be better known.

Very interesting bit of history.

Roman four-faced arch located on the ancient Via Flaminia and transformed into a fortified farmhouse in medieval times. The monument should be built on the place where Constantine had the famous vision 'in hoc signo vinces', just before the battle of Ponte Milvio against Maxentius.

Small but important treasure to be discovered

It is worthwhile to stop a little bit in this place a little imaginative to the side of the Via Flaminia near the junction for Sacrofano. It enjoys excellent but beautiful views and the sunsets are special the museum is worth a visit as the small archaeological park. A place rich in history and permeated with ancient and powerful echoes!
