Obviously this is not the Roman site which is very beautiful. After unsuccessfully trying to reach it through a very tiring mountain road indicated by Google, we arrive at a bush that has invaded the path that should lead to the site. Rare and out-of-date driving directions. Would not recommend.

Today, after visiting the archaeological area of Altilia-Sepinum, we tried to reach the remains of the Samnite Saipins. We had to give up in the face of the absolute lack of signage and poor road conditions. A deplorable situation! I put a star only because less is not possible.

Hidden to most but magnificent, it should absolutely be enhanced. You have to look carefully at each stone and work a little imagination. With attention you can distinguish the two main entrances and identify the polygonal walls of the city wall which has a perimeter of about 1500 meters

Municipal administration and superintendency, you should apply yourself for the enhancement of archaeological sites even those today "peripheral". We try to do Tourism and Culture, but the flow must be circular ... However, reaching the site is a nice excursion
