Galleria Civica d'Arte Contemporanea "Franco Libertucci"

The Civic Gallery of Contemporary Art is located in the attic of the Palazzo Comunale, a space of strong architectural character, restored with the restoration of the entire building. The Palace built in 1860 was in fact restored in 1987 by architect Massimo Palumbo and inaugurated in August 1988. On that occasion, he had the privilege of hosting some works by Franco Libertucci, to which the Gallery is today entitled. The Civic Gallery was born (1997) as a distinct body but parallel to the Open-Air Museum MAACK. The works set up in it come mainly from donations from artists hosted in the Open-Air Museum, followed by others from artists who, having come to know this cultural environment, wished to be part of it. In 2007 it finds its definitive arrangement in the new renovated attic spaces and in 2013 it is expanded and enriched with new spaces and new works.
