Calvera, whose ancient name was “Calabra”, is of Greek origin; is a small town of 383 inhabitants in the province of Potenza, which rises 630 meters above sea level, on the slopes of Monte Mancino. Numerous stately buildings embellish the charming historic center, among them, in particular, Palazzo Mazzilli and Palazzo Martinese stand out, while the belvedere offers an extraordinary view of the Serrapotamo valley.
