Museo della Grotta

Small museum with free admission (with free offer) inside a cave bear skeleton with various other remains of animals found in the caves. Staff courteous and thorough in their requests.

Certainly very interesting this museum in which finds of remains are exhibited, not necessarily in the Pradis caves but which still want to reconstruct the likely presences. There are also other minerals and non-cave specific fossils. Very nice the big bear at the entrance. All in a single hall that, to access, you pay a ticket that can be reduced if you show the ticket for the caves. Very kind staff, trained on the caves and also other local realities. The museum exhibits pieces mostly found in prehistoric sites of the place. Small but with nice descriptions and friendly staff and willing to give further explanations. Recommended to complete the visit to the caves.

Interesting addition to a visit to the grotto. A space that shows the use of the grottoes by humans. As is so often the case, there is no English lettering on the exhibits. Pity! The reconstructed bear is great.
