It is located in via Boiardi which connects perpendicularly via Toschi to Emilia S. Pietro. The Parisetti were commissioned by the fifteenth-sixteenth century construction; the reconstruction of the main façade can be traced back to 1525 with its advancement on the road to continue the perspective continuity with the neighboring Palazzo Brami, located in a corner on Via Emilia. In 1903, the Marquis Rocca Saporiti had the mansion restored by commissioning Edoardo Collamarini, an architect from Bologna and already his trusted designer, and at the reopening he wanted to dedicate the palace to Matteo Maria Boiardo from Scandiano: an initiative that generated the erroneous popular belief that the poet had been owner.
