Very nice church enriched with interesting frescoes

Augustinian Church of 1275, where every year the Feast of S. RITA is celebrated on May 22 and where the visible remains of the "beate clarine" are preserved and of the blessed pilgrim from Spain and fallen from the church bell tower, the bodies are mummified . In the interior of the church the walls are frescoed by many sacred representations but poorly preserved and in need of restoration. Adjacent we see the cloister and the whole complex of S. Agostino renovated in the 80s and 90s which annually hosts the tavern and the tasting of Montefalco wines and neighboring territories on certain occasions (from April to September). The district of S. Agostino has taken this name since the beginning of the "Fuga del bove", many years ago and is one of the four districts that each year compete for the golden falcon.
