Wonderful wines made of local varieties. Very nice tour as well because they don't just tell you about their wines, but also show the ancient family farm in trullo style. We took a few bottles home and have even ordered online afterwards.
Wonderful wine tasting experience that included a tour of a 17th century trullo, a look at the vineyards, the farm house and the wine making facilities, followed by a tasting of five of their wines - one sparkling, two white and two red. All delicious and the chance to order a crate to be shipped anywhere in the world for a reasonable price.
We were able to go for a last minute tour, which was very interesting, and after which we tasted the excellent wine with some local snacks. Highly recommended!
We had a great experience in this wine tasting. We are not Italians but we speak the la gauge and took the tour in Italian, Ilaria (our host) was super kind and clear.
The place is beautiful, the details make it very special. Also, if you want to see a Trullo you should come and see the one they have, is taken care and original.
The cantina produces an important amount of wine (is enormous) and some are biological, in case you mind about this details.
We really enjoyed our time here (Oct 19). We did a tour which was actually very interesting, the young lady was excellent. It wasn't too long either.
The tasting (which let's face it is why we are all there) was really good & we all had various nibbles that complimented the wines we were going to taste.
The only downside was that there were 2 people pouring the tastings for everyone & we were on the side that was a lot less 'heavy-handed' with the measures! The other people we were with were on the heavy-handed side......they bought a case to be shipped home at the end....we didn't....we would have no question if were sat where they were! Oh well.
Definitely recommended though & if it is always the same, sit on the right! :-)
