Margine is a hidden gem. The restaurant serves a truly delicious and authentic Sardinian food good for meat, fish lovers and vegetarians. We especially liked their version of the traditional Italian dessert tiramisu which they called Tiramisardo 🙂

Ristorante Da Gigi is at this address. We were stuck as we wanted to go for Lunch to Agriturismo Montiferru but it is only open Fri/Sat and we were hungry. Stopped in Macomer. We were the only guests. The host did not seem to care much for customers. The chef walked by and was a lot more cheerful. 4Eur cuperto per head. A joke and if the food had been the best ever food perhaps. The food was OK. We had pasta and my arrabiata was certainly spicy and the pasta well cooked. Remember we were hungry at that point. A pricey lunch in a deserted restaurant that did not make us feel welcome at all.

Restaurant: excellent value for money. Room staff polite and helpful. Relaxing atmosphere. Excellent food, refined cuisine. Friendly chef. Inimitable fried squid with prawns and oziadas. Bottarga with fruit. Tiramisardo.
