Camping Le Palme

Place is closed down and seems to be left for nature to reclaim it. No further notice at the gate. Beware: Next camping site is ~40min over very curvy small roads. (Beautiful view though)

We came to scivu beach for a day and stopped at the restaurant of the palm for lunch. Very poor cooking (spaghetti with some little pomodoro). No effort is made, obviously, since there is no other restaurant around. And all this for an expensive price. We would avoid

The campsite has a great location a stone's throw from the wonderful Scivu beach. The property has great potential as it offers camping, b & b rooms and restaurant service. All very pleasant. We only used the restaurant service as we were staying elsewhere. Unfortunately we had the misfortune to spend 73 euros and have gone hungry. The menu consisted of three different first courses but the same three seconds which, even if cooked differently, did not allow the client to want to eat something different. Starting from the first fusilli to the green coast. The pasta was not al dente but rather to the elephant tooth. The dressing would have been great if the cook hadn't had the wonderful idea of ​​watering it all down with a nice ladle of water. The second was composed of cut, cut and still cut. Well we'll eat cut! Obviously being meat that not everyone can like as we must eat the blood we are asked for the desired cooking and we reply that we wanted it to medium cooking. Obviously the cook who does not care to satisfy the customer's requests but of himself has wanted to present it to the blood and moreover had been frozen. A murderer worse than the hunter! As a result we only left the restaurant with 2 fusilli broths in our stomachs. Excellent gracious presence and service of the waitress who works to satisfy the customer. The rest is to be forgotten and above all the prices too exorbitant not considering what is presented at the table. It is a pity to see that such poorly managed structures completely lose their value. Not recommended for eating.

New management. Potential high but poorly managed. In July the lights didn't work, luckily we were equipped with a torch. In a beautiful place and in full nature but about thirty kilometers from the nearest villages and with temperatures exceeding 30 °, there was no catering service (only breakfasts with packaged briches) and they did not have a refrigerator where they could keep their food purchased elsewhere. So 2 poor people on vacation have to slam every day to try to eat? We had to stay from Wednesday to Saturday ... Thursday morning we ran away. So 28 Euros for what service we paid for them myself and my partner (even the shower since it is paid even that!)? A pitch for a small tent? I know that we can offer a little 'more. SIN !

Sad that the only reception facility near Scivu is so unorganized. The bathrooms are cleaned when they are remembered. Not to mention the restaurant that offers mediocre dishes at reasonable prices. Only the kindness of the staff is saved. Sin
