A magnificent monumental cemetery that has never been ashamed to highlight its pre-unification characteristics. Majestic monumental sections with lots of evidence both outdoors and under arcades, lots of greenery and well kept areas. Certainly worth more visits given its fundamental historical and cultural importance, as it is also the largest cemetery in the entire province of Parma.

This is the largest cemetery in the city, created in the Napoleonic era, takes its name from the small villa (villa, in fact), which is still nearby, and now houses the offices of the company that manages the structure. Inside there are shrines and monumental sepulchres (Paganini, Gen. Dalla Chiesa, Padre Lino Maupas etc.). The Jewish cemetery is very impressive.

As evocative as many cemeteries, it collects very beautiful works. Wanted by Maria Luigia, Duchess of Parma and Piacenza takes its name from the nearby barracks of the city guards called the houses
