"Scripta manent, verba volant", this is the object of my experience.
Friends decide to give us a wedding gift in the shop. We spend a few months to choose the article. The choice goes a little long because we have to find something that we need, fit into the budget and adapt to our home and the saleswoman seems rather irritated about this. And this has already been unpleasant ... once the object has been identified, it tells us that the gift certificate covers everything, even that positive variation that slightly exceeds the prepaid value.
Although the article had to arrive earlier, due to Covid, I can only pick up at the end of July and at that moment it turns out that I have to pay the positive change since the agreement taken verbally had not been transcribed on the order sheet.
Legally nothing to say, I paid the excess fee; but at the level of customer service never again in life.
