B&B La Rocca

Excellent location in the historic center. Clean, breakfast to be consumed at the excellent pastry shop next door. The owner is very nice and helpful. Obviously there are limits related to the lack of parking (but the owner indicates the closest possibilities) and the structure of an ancient house. However, my evaluation is certainly positive.

Best value bed and breakfast I have ever visited. The room was basic but with all the amenities, comfortable bed, air conditioning, flat screen tv and wi-fi that works great. The central location, but with convenient nearby parking, is perfect for visiting Sulmona. The breakfast offered at the bar and discounts for some shops and restaurants make you feel welcome and pampered. I will definitely return to see Paolo as soon as possible!

Paolo, the manager of the B & b, greeted us from before our arrival via mobile. He immediately made himself available for any of our needs. The b & b is located in the center, the location is very convenient. There are free parking nearby (Via Turati) and also paid parking (Via Volta), we have never had difficulty finding one. They are one block from the b & b. In addition, the manager has a bike with a luggage rack and immediately offered to help us take them! We stayed here for two nights: the house has its age but it is in perfect condition, it has that touch of rusticity that you can appreciate a lot. Our room was 5, very cozy. The window overlooked an internal courtyard, the view is not the best but ... We are on vacation to see Sulmona, not the view from the bedroom window! The pigeons are hardly heard in the morning and for us they were not a problem (unlike other very rude guests who screamed both in the evening and in the morning). The manager explained that they are trying to solve the problem with this inner courtyard. The room has a table, a fridge, a sink and a toilet. The only thing I was sorry not to find was the bidet but simply because I needed it these days. But evidently it was a choice due to space problems (in short, nothing that a walk in the shower cannot fix). Fantastic shower, super hot! Breakfast has an agreement with a bar below, they are good from € 2.50 per person; we got some giant and beautiful stuffed croissants and cappuccino. Among other things, I do not understand the complaints I have read in some reviews, Paolo specified that the breakfast would be Italian ... I wonder what the other guests expected. We had a great time, if we come to Sulmona we will definitely be back! We highly recommend it. Paolo is also available 24 hours a day.

Very small room, sink without taps, no glasses (not even for taking a pill x headache) bathroom door with glass that you can see everything inside, poor breakfast, noise from adjacent houses, the owner very very hospitable and helpful, price too excessive for what is offered.
