Studio Nino Spagnoli

The great Trieste sculptor Nino Spagnoli (1920-2006) worked here before being evicted from the Municipality in the 1990s. He left his signature on the facade of the house, which is still visible. The building, unfortunately abandoned for twenty years, has a long history: it dates back to the seventeenth century, owned by a noble Lombard family, it was a municipal hospital in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries a school and then a seminary.
