The castle of Slivia is one of the many fortified settlements dating back to the protohistoric era found on the Karst. Once you reach the village of Slivia, continue on to the Gradec farmhouse where you leave the asphalt for a very easy path that, in about 200 meters, takes you to the site. The Castelliere, which dates back to the Bronze Age, has a perimeter of 300 meters formed by a stone wall of still imposing size, despite the collapse and the failures produced by time. With a little attention you can visit the whole site and see the layout of the living areas; from the top you can enjoy a view that embraces the Carso and the Gulf of Trieste.
