Grand Lido Negril

I was very excited to stay here last week. The location was perfect the rooms looked amazing, and the adult au naturel atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. The week before our trip I even called to confirm and see if any upgrades were available, they said "youre in luck, we have one swim out suite available so we took it. Now the problem: After our 3 hour flight, 1,5 hour screening process, and 1,5 hour drive we got to the hotel. After they take our bags and start leading us to our room thats when they informed us the the Grand Lido is CLOSED!!!!! and had been for months. They tried putting us in the family resort instead. It was the worst case of bait and switch Ive ever seen. We grabbed our bags and went to a different resort which ended up costing twice as much. One of the workers saw how upset we were and told us they had been doing this for a while. WE still had a great time but it had nothing to do with the Grand Lido.

Place has gone downhill from the reviews i see. They are right. Au natural restaurant closed, must wear clothes to eat. Worst BD vacation at Royalton Gran Lido! Couples or Sandals next door!

Stayed 5-6 years ago...... This place went under renovations after I left.....closed down. Best vacation I ever had. Best food ...Great weather... Great vibe. Can't wait to return

Most important, Grand Lido is romantic. Many years ago I stayed at this resort as a treat from my wife after a long year's worth of work. It was absolutely spectacular. The food was terrific. The help was so accommodating. The island people were just fantastic. The water sports were great. You need to look it up on Google and read about this resort. It is great for couples who want another honeymoon or the 1st honeymoon. I remember it well. It's my understanding that it has gone through many changeovers but still it may be worth a shot. We had a spectacular time. The ride from the airport to Negril is about an hour and a 1/2 but you see the countryside of Jamaica. Staying at the resort is about all you may want do, that's how much is going on there. Give them a call and find out what new things have arrived!! This place is of real treasure and a paradise. You will love it. Keep them in business.
