Jewel Runaway Bay Beach Resort & Waterpark – All-Inclusive Resort

The hotel needs some updates on furniture. There are no elevators. Valentine- one of the manager was very helpful to me! The buffet opens at 7am, if you don't eat your breakfast early, the food gets cold at about 9 am. The staff's were ok. The hotel grounds were clean with well manicured lawns. Oh- security needs to address the guests that does not stay on the hotel property. It appears that anyone can just wonder of the streets and walk in. I had some concern about leaving my beach bag with my cellphone on the beach. If the visitors are not control, then anyone could take you belongs off the hotel compound. The guys in the towel area, are not very honest. I received a card to get to wells at check. If that card is not returned, my credit card would be charge. After returning my towel to theses guys, one of them asked me, if I want the card back. I was a so shocked, to think they were trying to scam me.

Because of the ambiance

first off my room had issues getting the wifi from wherever it was placed, I would suggest they put individual boxes per building. secondly we tried contacting the concierge so many times with no response, we had to end up walking down there. thirdly the aqua beach side restaurant to be specific was quite insufficient considering that they served burger with no serviettes at all and Pina colada with no straw, like I am supposed to be chugging ice. however my two stars are to compliment the platinum and coral eatries....full hands up, the live band was pretty good too.

I needed just a few days to rest and relax after a very stress filled year this was the perfect place to meet my needs. First and foremost the staff was wonderful, respectful and always greeted me and other customers with a smile, specifically, the wait staff in the buffet dining area. The bar tenders were friendly and able to make drinks of all sorts. the evening entertainment was fun and participatory. The rooms were very clean and fully stocked each day. As an early riser, you could see staff, preparing the beach, equipment and dining areas before most guests were awake. All in all, a wonderful experience and I look forward to returning in the fall of this year. Bravo.
