The location is fantastic. Treasure Beach is as remote and serene as you'll find in Jamaica. You can't get closer to the sea than Shakti Home. The home itself is beautiful and open-aired to the sea. The Shaktini Suite is also very well done with the rooftop view. Audrey and McCarl, the staff, are awesome. Seemingly always there to do whatever is needed. Audrey's cooking is spectacular. Maxi, the house dog who McCarl trained, is the sweetest girl until she needs to protect the property and guests. Then she does her job! Best dog ever. I can't say enough good things about this property, location, and the staff. So why not a 5 star review? It really comes down to a lack of reinvestment into the property in a few areas. The kitchen appliances are very dated and they really limit what Audrey and/or guests can do. Both she and this house deserve better to work with. The laundry room and water heater under the Shaktini Suite also deserves some attention. These aren't things that should prevent you from a stay at Shakti Home, but they are things you should consider when pricing other options.
