Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay

I started with a 5-star review, but I now have to change it because I experienced some bad things towards the end of the trip. Our room service took over 2 hours, we only had my room cleaned once our entire stay because housekeeping kept skipping our room and ran out of towels before they got to us. I had to keep calling downstairs for more towels, it was very inconvenient. I also ordered and paid an additional fee for my room to be setup with a romantic bath for me and my husband as a surprise and they didn't even have it ready when I went to the room. Ruined everything. And they claim all of the non motorized sports are free, but they make you pay deposits in cash and you must have prior experience before using some of the equipment. It's very misleading and should state all of that on the website. Overall we had a good time, but they need to stop offering so many services if they won't be able to fulfill them all. Also, a lot of the 5-star reviews you see are "paid for". They were having a "share your happiness" day at the resort. You're basically forced to give a 5-star google review, then you take a picture and get a free souvenir. It's all misleading, because people just want the free stuff, but might not feel that way. That's why I am changing mine now to share the truth.

From the time you walk into the lobby you feel the warmth and welcome from the staff. Bright and airy you have no choice but to feel like you're in your own little oasis. The rooms are very clean which is so important especially while we're still in a pandemic. The sanitizer stations placed throughout was a welcome relief. The food was great especially since it's hard to find authentic food when you stay at all inclusive resorts. I always look for tastes that represent that particular country and I can say they did not disappoint. I would definitely stay here again!!!

Accommodation was wonderful, place was clean, the food was okay. That balcony view was excellent and let's not forget about the staff especially the few that you can never forget like Otenza. Her bubbling personality is just infectious. She makes everything better.

Great getaway, awesome view, lots of food choices. We will go back again in the future. Staff was very friendly and helpful, really no complaints at all
