Portland Gap

Portland Gap is the perfect rest spot for hikers to Blue Mountain. There are a number of cabins available for rental or you may choose to rent a camp site and pitch your own tent. It has a lovely picnic area and designated areas for camp fires to cook. There's running water and bathroom facilities. Park Rangers may be found on duty here. It's important to note that there is no electricity at Portland Gap so plan accordingly. Portland Gap is 3.5 miles or approximately 2.5 hours (average) hike away from Blue Mountain Peak. It's a great place to tell tales about your hike round a campfire and celebrate your conquest of the highest point in Jamaica! Enjoy!
