Comfort Castle Seventh-day Adventist Church

Hidden in the hills of Comfort Castle, Portland across from Rio Grande River is this Adventist Church. Visited twice. Praise the lord!

A special vibe up in the hills, maybe I am biased because I used to live up there but I personally love it. The drive up is about 2 hours from port Antonio up in to the mountains. The road is atrocious once you turn off at the Moore Town Crossing but the scenery is stunning. Beautiful hills and valleys, amazing flora and fauna, crystal clear river to swim in waterfalls to enjoy and some of the nicest people you could hope to meet. In Comfort Castle Square you will find "The Mayne Bar" they serve drinks and do a very reasonable dinner. There is Rosie's community store that sells basic groceries, drinks, water, cell phone credit and various other bits and bobs. There is also another "cookshop" that sells fried chicken and chips and on the weekend you will find a couple of jerk chicken pans on the road outside the bars and music.
