Shaw Park Beach Hotel

Came here 2 years ago and we loved it. The best food I've ever had. The beach was so beautiful and clean, and the staff was great!

It’s so heartbreaking writing my honest review after hearing and researching the history of this hotel and how it used to be, However I have to be honest. My family and I stayed here for one night on January 1, 2021 and everyone including the kids were extremely disappointed. The only positive thing about this hotel is the Fabulous Jamal who works there, he tried his best to let us feel welcome and enjoy our stay, he’s warm and welcoming, friendly but professional. He knew we were disappointed and went above and beyond for us. The entire hotel is very old and in need repair. The room that we stayed in was extremely small and consist of only a tv. The bathroom faucets were damaged and old, toilet bowl stained at one point we could not open the bathroom door we had to call someone to assist us, this was caused by the air vent falling from the bathroom ceiling and blocking the door. We didn’t have WiFi access in the room only from the lobby, the food was average in my opinion but the kids complain that they didn’t like it. Staff was limited, at some point it felt like we were just left on our own until Kamal showed up. In my opinion the hotel was not ready to welcome guests again just yet. Kamal explained that they’re in the process of refurbishing but I think they should have remained closed until it’s completed. Very disappointing hotel experience.

Shaw Park Hotel was just non existent with any form of amenities, no WiFi when in the room, no cable (6 cable channels), rooms were poorly kept, swimming pool was dirty and bathroom was not properly clean. The continental breakfast was basically stale Danish, muffin with tea and artificial juice (orange). Nowhere to access food on premises after hours customer service there was very poor and suffice to say the property is in a deplorable condition. The only nice feature there was the beach and the security which tried to save face. The management needs to revamp and make all aspect of this hotel more presentable irregardless of the pandemic now is the time to make this hotel even more presentable before booking visitors.
