Thrifty Car Rental

2months later and still no safety deposit yet. When I turned the car back in without any damage I was told to expect my refunded deposit in 3-7 business days and I never did. A family member goes and checks on my behalf every couple of days to the same answer of “ they are working on it.” Please avoid renting from them. They also charged me and additional $500.00 but I got my bank to refund that all accounts switched

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE - the counter workers have the worst attitude. I made reservations to rent here and had confirmation. Landed on Montego Bay and went to counter, ladies that work there kept lying saying no reservations found and no cars. They told me to wait an hour and come back. I called customer service line and guy on customer service line told me to go back at 5pm for pick up. I went back lady at counter told me sorry no car, we have customers waiting for days no cars. Worst experience. Do not rent here, stay away. Workers there are very unprofessional Half sleeping, rolling eyes and very ignorant.

Well you saved me from renting here. Thank God for reviews. I need a reliable car when I get to Jamaica, not a run around and extra charges.

This is the worst rental car experience ever I really want to put -5 stars but there is not a rating for this company and location. The car general description on the web site is FALSE! I rented a subcompact vehicle for my stay in Jamaica and was given a late 90’s model used car Mazda. The was so old and use that the original factory radio was replaced and the steering wheel was cover with some sort of cheap leopard material. There was not an area on the car that was not scratched or had a small ding. The front hood had a dent when I picked up the car and they had the nerve to say I put the dent in the hood. The ONLY saving grace was the air conditioner in the vehicle worked. I should have know I was in trouble when a customer complained that the car they rented has loud squeaking brakes and another customer complained there was no AC in their car! No AC in Jamaica which is always a sunny 85 degrees plus! As it was the holiday weekend and no one else had a car I was stuck with this car. Ever time we drove up a hill I thought the car was going to leave us on the side of the street. When we drove around town I prayed the brakes would not give out because of the condition of the car I was limited to where I traveled in Jamaica. I Will NEVER RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY AGIN PERIOD. The entire experience was a big disappointment to include the car rental personnel at the MoBay location who looked you in the eye with a straight face and rented me that piece of junk. To add injury to the madness I was charged prime rate for a subprime experience. I have uploaded pictures of the car which do not show the amount of scratches etc. This was Highway robbery and a fleecing of people and tourists who have come to visit Jamaica. The Jamaican Board of Tourism Should ban this company form it airport. Will be writing a letter to the organization.

Worst counter workers - didn't even try to complete the reservation : the final price is twice higher as what was shown during the initial reservation
