This place is a historic location in the world of media. This was the old JBC, the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation, now the Public Broadcasting Corporation of Jamaica. The PBCJ is very important to me for 2 reasons in particular. PBCJ carries a luve feed of debates in Parliament,that is, both Houses of Parliament. That live feed also covers in real time and rebroadcasts debates, presentations, submissions, made to Parluamentary Committees. The debates presentations are matters of national importance. On occasions NGOs , interested groups and citizens are invited to make presentations on Bills The other importance of PBCJ is that it holds archives, the national revords in film and radio of old events e.g. our independence A treasure trove for a researcher.
