HOPE CODLIN AND ASSOCIATES JAMAICAN PROPERTIES

I leased an apartment managed by Hope Codlin & Associates but I moved out after 3 months. I had a few issues: there's a bad scent that comes from the bathroom, there's a part of the kitchen sink that leaks, one of the cupboard doors fell out and more than half of the outlets don't work. I reported all the issues in less than a month of my tenancy but only two of the issues were addressed - this happened when I gave notice of my intent to vacate (mind you, I called about the issues several times before giving them notice). Additionally the issues reoccurred. I advised them that I'd be moving out on the 31st and at 7:00AM of the 31st, the property manager communicated that she'd be picking up the keys at 10AM - it would have been better if she asked for the best time to pick-up the keys. The apartment is overpriced though spacious and aesthetically pleasing. There are also no grills on the windows and doors but I guess the automatic gate that sometimes don't work is deemed to be enough protection despite the area it's in. I believe Michael (caretaker) and Bryan (employee) tried their best to help me but there wasn't much they could do without the property manager's assistance. All in all I had a very frustrating experience and I would not recommend this property to anyone. ******************************************************* I cant reply to their response to my review so I decided to edit. I did not lose my job and I didn't tell anyone from Hope Codlin & Associates that I lost my job. However I did say I was looking for somewhere cheaper, not because I couldn't afford the rent but because the property wasn't worth the rent. Besides, who doesn't want to save money on rent? I refuse to keep quiet about these kind of experiences because companies like yours need to know that there are consequences and rewards for both good and bad service. I hope this will teach you something and all the best with the next client.

Very tacky customer service. Poor management overall.

Tacky customer service via the phone. Called in to make a customer query via phone, she was very curt, which made for a very unpleasant discourse. Extremely off putting.
