Long Bay

Having realised that other public beaches in and around Port Antonio were closed, we went to the one beach that we knew was always open! It's not fenced in or anything. No entrance fee or protocols as it's an open beach located right on the road side. This beach is breathtaking, relaxing and fun! The sand is so smooth and soft, you'll want to ditch the towel and lay or play in the bare sand. Not to mention the water! Those waves are perfect for surfing but you cannot take your eyes off them. Even at the shore, those waves come rolling in like a tsunami. Be careful. If you're not a good swimmer, stay on the outskirts. It was a funfilled activity for my family jumping waves and building sandcastles.

Stayed on the bay and enjoyed the picturesque views and sound of rays crashing

1.5 miles of white sand beach with restaurants and Bars wide open spaces. Relaxing day or night, always be careful if you decide to swim, extremely actively current which may pose a danger even to the best swimmers.

Warm water and smooth sand!
