Ando Hotel Nara Wakakusayama

Overseeing the city of Nara. Nice view. The lady was rushing us through dinner, which is disappointing.

Barely worth 2 stars. Very very old facilities: furnitures with broken corners and peeled-off paints, no smooth accessibility (there is a lift but still some rooms require extra and unavoidable staircases), very ruined and dirty panorama deck, etc. Staff were kind and helpful as Japanese standard. Also one thing to notice: you have to wear their slippers in the hotel, and, they are super narrow and slippery!

Luxury but eccentric Ryokan. It is necessary to pass by a crossing path behind the golden buddha in order to avoid the dam of the main road which does not allow pedestrians or bicycles to pass through.
