Great place. Nice facilities. Friendly staff. Peaceful, forested location. No fires directly on the ground, so bring a portable fire pit or barbecue.
Lots of camp sites, close to a river, large pool, and friendly staff.
It is not a site that has been created or leveled, but a campsite full of wildness that makes use of the natural terrain and vegetation.
There is no view, but the environment surrounded by seasonal trees and swamps that bring out the appearance of Wabi-Sabi, from fresh green to autumn leaves, is unique to Doshi Forest.
If the sky is open, such as around the pool, you can see the starry sky.
Since you can enter from 07:00 at the reception desk on the day instead of reservation system, vehicles will enter and tents will be set up early in the morning on weekends and holidays. Especially during consecutive holidays, it can be so crowded that it is difficult to get a place and even get out of the car. Those who are interested should use it on weekdays.
Docomo users can only receive radio waves in the area in front of the administration building (north side), so be careful if you can't let go of your smartphone all the time.
The facilities and assortment of the administration building are modest, but they sell firewood (conifers and hardwoods), and Free Wi-Fi is also connected, so I think it is good for the location.
All toilets are Western style. It is also cleaned and can be used normally, but you must bring toilet paper with you.
There are restrictions such as being unable to use flush toilets and water areas from the end of autumn to early spring, so be sure to check the website carefully before you sortie.
There is no supermarket near you where you can buy it, so be careful about that as well.
Generally, it is not suitable for beginners, but I think it is a good location for those who want to camp in the original natural environment where there is not much human intervention.
At this time of year, it was 1600 yen per adult by car. Even if I didn't go to the reception desk in the administration building and paid during the patrol, it wasn't expensive.
After the water is stopped, the toilet can only be used as a simple toilet, but it was not a botton type with a visible bottom, but a Western-style simple water-washing type. The inside is clean and the feeling of use is the same as that of a normal flush toilet, so you can use it without any resistance.
It seems that many people are accustomed to it because of the famous campsite, and everyone had good manners and felt good.
Visited from November 6th, in the middle of the autumn leaves season. It was insanely beautiful, and there were many people shooting with a single-lens reflex camera. I came from noon on Friday and enjoyed setting up and camping in a quiet atmosphere. On Saturday, cars and people rushed in from around 7 am and it was lively and that was good. At this campsite, I felt that there were many "discerning" people, which was helpful. I decided to come to the solo camp in the off-season.
