Camping early December. Thought was freezing but luckily got some sun out and wasn’t bad. The lake is crystal clear and Mt Fuji in front of you was just breath taking. You can see so many stars at night. Surprisingly, the campsite was busy. (On the weekend) we arrived 10:30am and had to wait till 11:30am to get inside of the gate (don’t know why we had to wait.) the stuff wasn’t friendly much. The toilet was only one heated toilet. (4 toilets for women WC) It’s better with driving a car go early time.

Great little camp ground. It can get a little crowded so make sure to get there early to save yourself a spot.

I have given two stars only for the view from the camping site. Firstly, accessibility to the camp is difficult. If you intend to go by using public transport it will cost you a lot and u need to be at Kanawachiguko station before 10am. Secondly, the staffs, they are not helpful to English speaking guests. They may be nice to local people. The restaurant is closed. (I went there on 9 Sept 2020). Toilets are not clean enough and smelly. After playing inside the lake(in the shallow water) you need to take bath. You have to pay 100 yen for 2 mins of shower. Overall, the morning view of the mt Fuji is worthy to try. You have to take back all your trashes or you can ask them to throw it with 100yen.

If you are thinking of going camping to see the mount Fuji, this place is the best choice for you. It can be tricky to get here if you plan to come on public transportation but don't be afraid, it's worth it. The camping area is huge and there is enough space for the car (you can park your car right besides to your tent if you wish to do so). The camping area is also fitted with private showers (you have to pay for them but they were really nice, modern and clean), bathrooms and a cleaning area where you can clean your camping gear (it is provided with soap, scourers and sponges for free). You can rent a canoe to go inside the lake and on the front desk building they sell all the basics for camping in case you forget to bring something. If you are also familiar with anime you might recognise this place as one of the main locations of the anime called YURU CAMP. I will definitely come back

Great camping, nice staff, was raining so missed the view but overall pretty cool.
