It is a temple of the Shingon Buddhism Chichi sect whose main name is Fudo Myo, and the mountain name is Mt. Gyoki, Ryoben, Kobo, Jikaku Daishi, etc. came to Japan in ancient times. It was destroyed by the Great Kanto Earthquake on September 1, 1923, but it was rebuilt the following year. "Bon Bell (Kouan 9th year inscription)", produced by Kunimitsu Kunimitsu, a master craftsman of Kamakura in 1286, was designated as an important cultural property of the country and is considered to be the main shrine of the Heian period. The "Wooden Seikannon statue" and the "Koamiji cast copper esoteric Buddhist teaching tool" consisting of 21 esoteric Buddhist teaching tools are both designated as tangible cultural assets of Tateyama City. In addition, there is a temple monument at the entrance of the approach, which was built in commemoration of the merger with Saikoji Temple in 1924. It is said to have been the training site of Kobo Daishi, and there is a sculpture carved by the first Yoshimitsu Goto at the age of 78 in the worship of the main hall, which is considered to be one of the first masterpieces of Yoshimitsu. It is designated as the 34th Kannon Sacred Place No. 32 Fudasho in Abo Kunifuda, and there is a parking space in front of the main hall.
