It was a great experience seeing a Monk for the first time. And celebrating the new year in a Japanese style.
A quiet temple in the mountains. It is famous for the firewalking of Setsubun. The precincts were wide and had a nice atmosphere such as a mountain gate.
Kiburiji is a temple of the Shingon Buddhism Chichiyama group located in Inatomi, Ono Town, Ibi District, Gifu Prefecture.
According to tradition, in 715 (the first year of the Reigame), Gyoki opened the mountain as the Shinpukuji Temple of the Hosso sect. In 725 (2nd year of Kamikame), yellow snow fell behind "Shirayama" (a mountain that looked entirely white with limestone. It was cut because of lime mining since 1968 and no longer exists.) It happened and the temple name was called Kiburi. After that, I began to use the word "raisou". In 937 (7 years from Shohei), converted to the Shingi Shingon sect [1].
It was damaged by the flood in 1530 (3rd year of Koroku), and in 1560 (3rd year of Eiroku), Oda Nobunaga was burned down and the cathedral was destroyed by fire.
Hideyoshi Toyotomi and Ieyasu Tokugawa recovered with assistance such as issuing a red stamp, and received the protection of Mr. Toda of the Ogaki domain.
When I went there, I was unmanned and didn't get a red stamp. The precincts are very nice.
I saw the Setsubun Star Festival. Famous for fire walking. There is a parking lot and the buildings are beautiful. I will come again in the spring.
