Gorgeous spot but can be very packed. Instead of taking a boat (5,000 yen and only a small part of the gorge accessible, which you can anyway see from above), take the path across the bridge and along the gorge. You can make a loop by passing the first tall bridge to the shrine and back with a forest trail right behind it. The whole route takes about 1hour of not a too difficult hike, plus pictures time as it's beautiful, especially with the autumn leaves!

I'd love it, best landscape ever. I really wanted visit this place long time ago. The view was breath taking, awesome

A beautiful place to visit. I wanted to take a boat and view it closely but unfortunately, others had already booked the ticket 🎟and none was left for us to take one. They should stop online ticketing for this place because people book and dont go and their reserved ticket will transfer to other people at the end of the day.

Wowmazing natural scenery spot. Don't let your jaw dropping, seeing this wonderful place. You can rent a boat to feel the nature under warm sun rays (unfortunately, it was closed when I visited). Prepare your camera as you will take ton of photos.

fantastic thing to do in southern Japan. I would recommend going to get a boat as soon as you get there since you may have to get a ticket and wait a couple of hours before you can actually get a boat. However, there's plenty to do while you wait, like a walking path, or eating lunch!
