Amazing view 🧡 Take a sidewalk and enjoy nature!🍁

Beautiful landscape mainly during the autumn. I recommend a slow stroll along the sidewalk for enjoying the view and take pictures. The area offers a good infrastructure with car parking, toilets, restaurants and stalls. Although there is heavy traffic these days, I saw lots of tourists walking to the middle of the road seeking for a selfie for the their social media pages. Drivers need to be cautious and sometimes deviate from them.

There is a long stretch of road extending over 2.4 km lined with 500 meta-sequoia planted on both sides of the street next to Makino Pickland in Makino. It was a part of educational project for children to learn about agricultural facts on soil condition in this region back in 1981. Meta-sequoia is a deciduous type of edar tree originated in China. it was given such name for its resemblance to Sequoia tree in appearance, The landscape of this area along with a sight of this road made it one of the greatest views of Kansai region. The road makes great atmosphere for each season. Autumn is considered to be the greatest time to visit when leaves change colors. Trans-word+ : TGM Japan Guide

We went there on a cycling trip and the view was underwhelming, probably because we struggled with a traffic jam of motorcycles and cars. People who want to take decent photos (tourists and locals alike) have to risk standing in the middle of the street amidst the vehicles passing by, which is very dangerous! I even noted a few families with young children trying to take photos as cars were passing by. I never thought I’d see this in Japan.
