Nice local onsen, entrance ¥100, pay at the reception where you can get your onsen stamp as well. Need to bring your own shampoos and towel. Was informed that the parking costs ¥100 but I couldn't really locate it. You can see your clothes and stuff while bathing but there are also lockers for ¥100. Two medium sized tubs, one with normal lukewarm temperature and one hot one. Plenty of space around the tubs to wash, there is also a small extra space for three people to wash a bit further than the tubs. Clean facilities, be prepared as this place gets really busy! Went around midday, it was full of people and many more kept on coming!

Hot springs in the public hall ♨ It is the oldest hot spring in Beppu 8 hot springs! Like other municipal hot springs, there are hot and lukewarm waters. It seems that it is a rule to wash your body and hair with hot water from the bath without using tap water. Municipal hot springs do not have amenities, so you must bring soap and shampoo. Of course you can also buy it.

There are no walls or doors between the dressing room and the bathroom. There is a step of about 1m. It is a staircase. The facility is RC, as if it were part of a municipal house. I think it's a good atmosphere. The hot water is ok.

The hot water is beautiful and very hot, so you can only put it on the lukewarm side. The price is also 200 yen. I'm doing it until midnight.

I managed to fully enjoy the bath while watching how local people use it. I sat down on the floor of the bathroom and washed my body and head. It's not like calming down and enjoying the hot water, but it does.
