Gyukatsu Kyoto-katsugyu

1 or 2 staff understand a little English (especially the young lady), we have little problem understanding the instructions. I really do not understand others who expect them to have better command of English? You come to a foreign country to experience and language is one of them! There is picture with steps to guide you how to enjoy the meal. Anyway the beef is of good size and done just right. Please do not expect top grade and cut for the price. Soup, salad (cabbage), barley rice, ocha were free flow, it's really value for money for the set meal.

Really liked their gyukatsu with the many options of how to enjoy eating it—with wasabi soy sauce, with salt and pepper, with Worcestershire sauce + ground sesame, and with daikon oroshi ponzu sauce. Just didn’t get to try it with soft-boiled egg. Next time! 🐮

Amazing deep fried beef! The beef is so tender and juicy it has to be the best deep fried food out there. The wagyu one is recommended. The below one is the standard sirloin one.

Good place to eat wagyu katsu! Cooked perfect firm with little give. They also have local bear along with a fresh kind of beer. MATCHA BEER
