The bronze bell of the Hannyaji temple, which was opened during the Heian period, is one of the three old bells of Hitachi, and is a nationally designated important cultural property, like the copper bell of the Tokakuji temple. It is a work of Hisashi Tanji who was involved in the casting of the Great Buddha of Hase in Kamakura, where the inscription of the first year of Kenji (1275) was seen.
According to the temple story, it was founded on the plateau in Shishizuka as a nunnery by the second daughter of the Heian era, the first year of the Heian era (974), and moved to its current location at the end of Heian. During the Kamakura period, he received the protection of the Hojo administration, and since the Ninja Bodhisattva came to Mimurayama, he prospered as a Ritsumune temple. In the Sengoku period, the temple tower was lost due to the fire, but in the Edo period, a local Mishima Kenken relocated and donated Kannon-do in Edo Gokokuji.
The bronze bell was found nationwide in the first year of Kenji (1275) when it was confirmed that it was cast by Taimon Hisamoto and Senmon Shigenobu, who were involved in the casting of the Great Buddha of Kamakura. Is. There are many other cultural properties on the grounds, such as "Kaikai Stone", "Stone Stone Tower" and "Rokujizo Stone Lantern", which were engraved with the construction period of 5 years (1253).
A barrier stone is a mark used to mark a clean area such as a temple. Especially in the Ritsu sect with strict precepts, it was erected to always limit the area according to a specific law.
There are barrier stones built to show areas with special religious meanings, such as temple areas and training halls.
There is one of the three ancient bells of Hitachi, and there are other barrier stones and the Olympic tower, which is said to be a tomb tower in the source sea.
