Akaeda Clinic

My wife delivered our second son here. At first, we were skeptic as we were not familiar in maternity clinic but we still decided to give it a try. We are happy that we did it. The service is excellent and they give complete and rich information. Staffs are very accommodating and the doctors knows very well. I remembered the doctor confidently and accurately told us the gender of our child at 12 weeks. Writing on behalf of my wife, the best experience was during the delivery and the 5 days stay/rest in the hospital. The staff treated us well, guided us through the process. Akaeda-sensei himself administered the delivery of my son and it was a quick and swift one. They know well that child delivery is painful enough so they make the mother comfortable as much as they can. Food was really good in for those 5 days. They even scheduled a day of dinner for the family of the mother, desserts every afternoon and hair cut and scalp massage. Even after we left, the maternity clinic provides memorabilia during delivery and even some meeting, education session for mothers who delivered their child at the clinic in the same year. The most unexpected for us was a gift they sent (a gift toy) few week before my son's first birthday. Overall, it is good and much better than a general hospital in our experience. They are many times more accommodating and less stressful than a general hospital with regular visit way less frequent. Anybody who tried general hospital before can tell the difference. With the cost, it is not that far from general hospital but their good service to mothers justifies it well. The only cons I can think of is the language, as reception do not usually speak English or speak basic English. They rotates so sometimes there are new face and seems unfamiliar with their own process at first. It just happen that we are living in Japan for a decade and so language is no longer issue on us. For people who are not acquainted in the Japanese language, it might be struggle. Some might tried English they might struggle. I recommend them for foreigners who know the local language and give it a try.

The clinic looked pretty old. Definitely needs to be renewed. The staff at the reception was more than rude. Since I’m not Japanese, but in my opinion I can speak well after 12 years in Japan, still the staff at the reception turned to my Japanese husband and in front of my face asked “日本語　つじる？” I was standing right there and the staff refused to talk to me. After that she kept staring at me all the time. Felt very uncomfortable. It’s not that I’m pregnant crazy woman. My husband saw that too. It’s unbelievable. Looks like husbands or any men can’t be at the waiting place now, so he was asked to leave in a very rude way. We have our own business in medical field and definitely people at the reception must be trained to behave their selves. Not coming back there for sure, even though the doctor looked very nice and kind. Hope the service to be improved for the other people that will be visiting there.

I gave birth to three people here. The price is delicious, and the hairdresser and beauty treatment salon are included. I thought it would be nice to have an option system. After all, I think that everybody in the beauty salon has a favorite. Someone wants to cut it. The same is true for beauty treatment salons Congratulations are delicious, but the cost of childbirth is inevitably high because it is included in the cost. I think there are people like me who are not the first child and want to keep the price down. I would like an optional system! Since the teacher is a well-known doctor, I would like to give birth here, but this is a negative point in terms of cost. 5 stars if this is an option

先生は素晴らしいです！ ただ、本当に受付が最悪です( ｀д´) 病院にきても録に流れを説明もしてくれず、鼻で笑って馬鹿にしてきて意味不明です。 先生に診察の時に血圧とか自分で毎回するんですか？と聞いたら検診の流れが書いてある紙を受付が前回渡し忘れててごめんね！ってすぐ頂きました。前回も今回も同じ人が受付で帰り私が同意書忘れたら、前回渡したやつ今度は絶対忘れないでください💢と言ってきました。貴女も忘れてんのに言い方ひどすぎる。は？ 髪の毛長めの年も若くない受付の人は避けた方がいいですね。ショートカットの人は普通です。病院の質が下がります。でも、先生は皆すきです！優しい(^^)

It's a beautiful and spacious hospital, but the winter is horribly cold and it's a long wait. I thought that I wasn't thinking about the body of a pregnant woman because I was so concerned about the appearance and hardware. I think it would be better to think of it as a heater, an air conditioner, or a blanket. Anyway, it is impossible to make a reservation and it is impossible to see a gynecologist.
