This is an emergency medical treatment for children, so-called ER, installed in the Tokyo Metropolitan Children's General Medical Center. Upon receipt, we will receive a simple interview from a nurse (there is a triage). Here, judgment of urgency etc. is carried out, and it seems that correspondence will be preferentially done when urgency is high. Because it is a place to visit with parents and children, the waiting space will tend to be crowded inevitably depending on time. There is a television in the waiting space, and programs for infants are broadcasted (I think that this is the same program installed at the side of the inpatient bed of the pediatric general medical center). Children who seem to be influenza also come to visit in winter, but this ER seems to encourage ordinary influenza to see at the nearest hospital. I think that this is appropriate as a measure for accepting severe pediatric patients such as influenza encephalitis caused by influenza. In addition, it may be good to consider the use of nighttime medical practice (internal medicine / pediatrics department) that Fuchu city medical doctor association is doing in Fuchu City.
